TB KART USA BRINGS THREE SHIFTER ROK COMPETITORS TO OPENING ROUND OF FLORIDA WINTER TOUR

Soldiering through unprecedented times in 2020 and onwards into 2021, TB Kart USA had a solid ten driver lineup set to contest the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour. With the first event taking place this coming weekend at the Isle Casino in Pompano Beach, Florida, the squad has been reduced to three drivers with the exclusion of the 206 categories.

“It is disappointing that we lost the four-cycle classes,” expressed Farshad Bagheri. “We had seven drivers confirmed for these classes and the loss in revenue definitely hurts. On the flip side, we have the opportunity to really focus on our shifterkart program. We showed very well at the 2020 Florida Winter Tour and will push hard and make sure we are at the front of the field again this season.”

Zack Hollingshead will lead TB Kart USA to the first ROK event in 2021 as he will compete in the Vortex Shifter ROK class. As one of the largest classes on the grid during the 2020 season, Hollingshead will aim to the top step of the podium in the premier gearbox division. Keeping up with the shifterkart program, Rene Martinelli and Farshad Bagheri will race wheel-to-wheel in the Shifter Master ROK class. Scoring multiple podiums in 2020, Bagheri and Martinelli have their eyes set firmly on the series championship.

Bagheri continued, “We have several race team and driver opportunities for rounds two and three of the FWT as well as onwards into the rest of 2021. Our product is a proven winner in Europe and can help take you to the top step of the podium in your respective class here in the United States.

With on track action set to commence on Thursday, Friday will be the home of qualifying and the first of three heat races. Saturday will see the green flag fly for heats two, three as well as the prefinal while Sunday will feature the weekend’s main events.
