SUPERTUNE AIMS TO CLOSE SKUSA WINTER SERIES ON TOP

With the 2020 season now in full swing, it is time for Team Supertune to head back to South Florida for rounds three and four in the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series. Set to once again take on the AMR Motorplex on the grounds of the Homestead-Miami Speedway, the Tony Kart program will enter seven hungry competitors across four classes of competition.

“We have decreased in size for this event but that is normal with any shorter championship,” explained Ben Cruttenden. “A lot of our drivers chose to focus on different programs for the remainder of the winter season. With seven drivers this weekend, we will be able to provide great focus to the task at hand as well as work hard to make sure that all of them are at the front of the field.”

Three Supertune Tony Kart entries will come from the X30 Junior class as Noah Baker, John Burke and Mateo Rubio-Luengo will push towards solid finishes. Burke is a multi-time race winner in 2019 and Baker claimed a podium result already in 2020, so both drivers should be close to the front of the field. Junior rookie Rubio-Luengo will lean on his elder teammates as he gains experience and consistency in the bigger and faster X30 Junior chassis.

Three additional Supertune drivers will enter three different classes as Anderson Leonard will compete in the KA100 Junior class as he aims to better his results from the first weekend in the series. Christian Quijano will look towards the front of the field in Mini Swift while Alessandro Truchot will be back behind the wheel of a Supertune Tony Kart in Micro Swift. Additionally, Parker Delong will race out of the Syntech Racing stable but utilize Supertune power.

Cruttenden continued, “Following the event weekend we will be flipping some of our one and two race old chassis. Drivers looking to take advantage of team discounts should contact us directly.”

With drivers hitting the track Thursday for unofficial practice, two complete race days will commence Saturday and Sunday morning for rounds one and two of the series. Stay tuned to the Supertune social media pages for news, information, photos and results from the Superkarts! USA Winter Series.
