SIX DRIVERS AND TEN ENTRIES FOR SUPERTUNE IN USPKS FINALE

As the 2020 summer race season took a while to get started, the rest of the year has flown by as Supertune prepares for their final United States Pro Kart Series event of the season. Set to take on the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina, six Supertune branded Tony Kart drivers, culminating for ten total entries, will aim for the top step of the podium as they look to finish their IAME powered portion of the season strong and build momentum towards a 2021 campaign.

Entering the weekend, four Supertune drivers will pull double duty as John Burke, Noah Baker, Cameron Wineberg and Matteo Rubio-Luengo will all compete in both X30 Pro Junior and KA100 Junior. As one of the strongest trios of junior drivers in the country, they will work together both on and off the track to achieve success in North Carolina.

Wineberg, who has returned to Supertune after a brief hiatus, will look to take advantage of a junior program that is building driver’s experience as he shoots for the front of the field. Jorge Ortiz will join the already mentioned junior quartet in the X30 Pro Junior. A consistent frontrunner and race winner throughout 2019 and 2020 in the KA100 class, Ortiz continues his advancement as his goal is the checkered flag in the Pro Junior division.

After having his strongest run in the Mini Swift class back in August, Fernando Luque is back with the Indianapolis based effort this weekend. Making huge strides with each passing race weekend, the GoPro facility will provide a challenge for the youngster as he continues his progression.

“We competed at a club event last month at the GoPro Motorplex to prepare for this weekend’s action,” explained Supertune’s Ben Cruttenden. “We gathered some good data and got some good racing experience under our wings. I am confident heading into the event that we will be able to close the USPKS program with race wins and podium results before we head across the country to Las Vegas.

With unofficial practice beginning on Thursday, official sessions will take place on Friday before two separate days of wheel-to-wheel action will commence on Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned to the Supertune social media pages for news, photos, results and information from the event weekend.
