SABRÉ COOK LOOKS TO CARRY MOMENTUM FROM TEST INTO RACE AT ROAD AMERICA

With a Mazda Road to Indy Series Test last week at the iconic Road America, Sabré Cook will return to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for rounds six and seven of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda this weekend. Taking on the 4.014 mile, 14-turn rolling hills road course, Cook will be aiming for her best result of the season after working hard through the off weeks.

“Since the Indy GP weekend, I’ve been putting in more time and working harder on my weaknesses than ever before,” explained Cook. “I think the Road America test was a very positive step forward to reflect that. I’m blessed to have such an amazing support system around me in both my life and in my team. I’m sure if we keep chipping away at it, the results will come.”

Taking part in the Series Test on June 11th and 12th, Cook was on track with 25 other series drivers searching for the necessary speed to be at the front of the field. Working with her Team BENIK through a specific run plan, Cook used previous experience at the facility to get up to speed quickly and decrease lap time throughout the two-day test.

Cook added, “Road America is such a gorgeous and enjoyable track, so I’m really looking forward to racing it this coming weekend.”

With one practice session on Friday morning and two qualifying sessions on Friday afternoon, Sabré Cook and her Team BENIK squad will commence wheel-to-wheel competition on Saturday for race one. Race two will kick off Sunday morning, just before round ten of the Verizon IndyCar Series.

Sabré Cook would like to thank her marketing partners for their continued support. A huge thanks to COTA Karting, MESA Fitness, Bell Racing USA, Apple Motorsports, Aspen Equity Group, and Grand Junction Motor Speedway.

Continuing to raise money to compete in all 2018 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda events, Cook has launched a unique initiative via her Go Fund Me with a direct link from her website. Offering autographed hero cards and more for a small donation, Cook has already raised more than $4500.00 as she looks to continue to finalize funding for the remainder of the season.
