CROSSLINK COMPETITION HEADS EAST TO THE SUNSHINE STATE TO KICK OFF 2020 CAMPAIGN
As the calendar turned to 2020, Team Crosslink took no time off as their preparation continued for the winter karting season. Leaving their home state of Texas and destined for sunny Florida, Team Crosslink will enter five drivers aboard the Exprit Kart by OTK this coming weekend at the opening round of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series at the AMR Motorplex adjacent to the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida.
“We will bring five drivers to the opening weekend of the SKUSA Winter Series as all five will compete in the senior level categories,” expressed Crosslink Team Manager Sean Owens. “We had a good close to 2019 at the SKUSA SuperNationals and have been chomping at the bit to get the 2020 season started in Florida.”
Four drivers will fly the Team Crosslink colors in the X30 Senior class as nearly a handful of drivers will vie for the race win and podium results. Brendan Baker will lead the team to Florida as he will be joined by Reilly Cann as well as senior rookies Ryan Shehan and Dawson Svoboda.
Team Crosslink driver Miguel Mier will be back behind the wheel of an Exprit Kart as the long-time team member will make the cross-country trek to Florida. Mier, who is a consistent frontrunner in the state of Texas, will look to battle at the pointy end of the field in X30 Masters.
Owens continued, “While we have two veteran senior drivers, we also have two rookies as the quartet will work together to better their progress, performance and results. A lot of the data collected from our X30 Senior drivers will work well with Miguel in Masters and vice versa, so I am anticipating good results in our first event of the year.”
With the 2020 season now here, Team Crosslink will compete in several local, regional and national level programs. With arrive and drive programs, product sales and services, driver coaching and data analysis, Team Crosslink will also turn over one or two race chassis following events. Drivers looking to compete with the elite level karting program or to pick up gently used team equipment, are asked to contact Sean Owens via email to Sean@crosslinkcompetition.com.
