BRADEN EVES SCORES FIRST F4 WIN

Braden Eves scores his first major car win of his young career with Jay Howard’s Motorsports Driver Development program (MDD) at round six of the United States F4 Championship Series, held at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. Eves’ win also marks the first win for MDD in the F4 program, making it a celebratory victory for the whole team.

“I am very proud of Braden and the entire team,” says team owner Jay Howard. “All of us have worked extremely hard for this. Braden drove the perfect race, even after lap one contact resulting in minor damage to the front wing, he still managed to get the job done and take the win.”

Eves started the weekend off with a fourth place qualifying effort. In the first race, he landed himself on the podium after driving to a third place finish. He continued to improve, making it to the second spot in race two. Eves did not stop there, continuing to push to make it to the highly-sought first spot. His determination persevered, scoring the victory in the final race to round off his weekend perfectly.

Howard continued, “It is a special win for me personally, seeing the karts-to-cars program working. Braden has been a driver in the MDD program for a while, and has developed as a driver immensely and has worked hard to achieve his goals. I am proud of Braden and the entire team.”

The MDD team will head back to Austin for the final round of the United States F4 Championship Series later this month. The team will have the same driver line-up: Braden Eves, JP Southern, Parker Locke, and Dalton Peak. They will also be welcoming back Sam Paley to the team for the championship event providing a potent five driver lineup.

Howard added, “With Eves winning the latest event, our other drivers also had some great runs and positive outcomes throughout the weekend. Parker Locke had his best finish of the season in COTA and will be looking to build off of this heading to the final event of the season. Dalton Peak had an excellent debut weeked and was in contention to score some points but fell just short in the end. He will look to take advantage of a weekend of experience as he heads back to COTA.”

JP Southern has consistently scored FIA points on a race by race basis, finishing inside the top-ten at round five of the series at COTA. The team will be working hard to score as many points as possible at the last race. It will be an incredible experience for the drivers to race in front of a large audience of fans, as they will take the track directly before the Formula 1 race.
