ANTONIO SERRAVALLE NETS CAREER BEST FINISH AT THE GRAND PRIX OF ST. PETERSBURG
A quick turnaround from the first event weekend of the season to the second, Antonio Serravalle and Pserra Racing netted their career best Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires result at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Taking on the barrier lined circuit and the tight confines of the Streets of St. Pete, Serravalle secured a seventh-place result on Saturday and returned Sunday to grab another top-ten finish.
“It was a solid weekend for us as we continued to move further up the grid,” explained Serravalle. “The goal of the weekend was once again to finish every race lap and gain as much experience as possible, and we managed to do that. Saturday’s first race was particularly good as we were able to keep the nose clean, show pace and claim my best Indy Lights finish to date.”
With having only one Indy Light session at St. Pete under his belt prior to the race weekend courtesy of the only official on track session of 2020, Serravalle returned this past weekend to qualifying in the ninth position for Saturday and tenth on Sunday. Improving or maintaining throughout the weekend, the young Canadian levelled up in race one to seventh and maintained Sunday to finish tenth. While the result in race two was not indicative of his true speed, Serravalle did manage to turn the sixth fastest lap in the forty-lap race.
Serravalle added, “I am looking forward to the next event at Indy. I have been there several times so I am anticipating resetting my new best result of the season. A huge thank you to the entire Pserra Racing crew for keeping their heads down and helping us get our season started.”
Antonio Serravalle would like to thank all of his partners for the help and support to get the 2021 season off the ground as without them, none of this would be possible. A huge thanks to LedgeMark Homes / livgreen, Tycoon Capital Limited, TriBrik, Camptech ll Circuits, Coshore, Ferrari & Associates, Scuderia Ferrari Club Canada, Med-Scan and Sabelt.
