ALLIANCE RACING AND GAS MONKEY ENERGY LEVEL UP TO F3 IN 2020

February 4, 2020 – With the confirmation of the F3 Americas Powered by Honda Championship prize fund and the estimated growth of the F3 program in the years to come, Alliance Racing is pleased to confirm the addition of a Ligier JS F3 to their stable. Offering a complete line for any kart racer up through F4, F3 and possible transition into Indy Lights, the 2020 season will see a new venture for the Indianapolis based program.

“We made huge strides in our program in 2019 and will look to do the same in 2020,” explained Toney Edwards. “I am confident that the series changes and direction is the right move for the sport, and I am excited to be a part of it. We will still have five cars available for F4 and we have purchased a car for the F3 program. If interest is high enough and we find the right driver, we could possibly purchase a second car as well.”

With the 2020 F3 Americas Powered by Honda Champion receiving a scholarship towards the Indy Lights program in 2021, the Honda support provides something that the sport needed according to Edwards.

“Drivers race open wheel because that is the direction they want to go,” added the Alliance Racing Owner. “If the F3 champion can continue his path up the ladder in an open wheel program, then that is what I believe should happen. To be supported by Honda is a huge shot in the arm for not only F3 but F4 as well and I see increased grids in the future.”

Alliance Racing Sponsored by Gas Monkey Energy staff will now be on the search for a driver for their new acquisition.

Edwards continued, “We want to be able to challenge for wins and podiums. We have an affordable program in place for the right driver.”
